Hello!

I’m Lucy. I am a Freelance Senior Creative, Art Director & designer who’s worked on a number of global brands such as: Google, Meta, Vodafone, Sky, Cointreau, The Financial Times, Network London, Cisco & OPPO. I started off as a graphic designer after graduating from Central St Martins in 2015. I have been working in the industry for 9+ years across a number of varied projects and clients. I have also written for Creative Moment.

I am passionate about design and creativity and love to do work that has purpose. I am ambitious, creative, driven and am a dab hand at taking a campaign from inception to delivery across different types of media. I’ve worked closely with a copywriter, the creative director and producer to ensure the project is completed and the best it can be. I have also been involved in producing some projects. I’m a huge advocate for mental health and believe a work life balance is key in maintaining good mental health.

Outside of work I love to hang from Aerial Silks and perform on an Aerial Hoop, and can normally be found with a big cup of tea in hand and maybe some custard creams.

What do I do?

Art direction, conceptual thinking, ideation, film/video treatments, productions, film, campaigns, storyboarding, design, branding & identity, digital content, social media campaigns.

I’m also fluent in adobe illustrator, inDesign, after effects, photoshop and premier pro. I have often used pitch.com when collaborating with other team members who aren’t creative.

Lucy’s Values

Openness & Honesty

These are values that have stuck with Lucy from a young age. With openness comes honesty, when working with different people, teams and clients it’s important to be able to be open and honest to ensure the work created is the best it can possibly be. It also allows for a ‘safe space’ to be created, meaning everyone at any level feels empowered, listened to and respected.

Love & Empathy

Without love, what would we do? The love of typography, design, film, people, projects, sports, nature - love is what powers and inspires Lucy to be creative and share that love she has. And with that comes empathy, Lucy values people and has a people first mentality.

Community & Relationships

When asked what inspires Lucy, her very first thoughts are her family and friends. Closely followed by artists, directors, studios etc. People are at the heart of everything created and the relationships you have with people is what makes Lucy happy. For Lucy, she prioritises community and her relationships with people.

Working with Lucy

“Lucy's a pleasure to work with: thoughtful and creative.

Rhona Hurcombe, Consumer Director, Eat the Fox

“From the perspective of a strategist, Lucy is fantastic to work with. She’s open and honest about briefs, asking for more information or clarity whenever needed. She’s not precious about her ideas and is always keen to refine, improve, or adapt them as needed. Lucy always brings fresh creative insight and suggestions for unexpected and interesting ways to develop a brief or idea. ”

Sam Ward, Senior Strategist

“Lucy is creative, empathetic and caring in everything she does.

We’ve worked on a number of projects together over the years and it’s a joy to see her grow with every project. Lucy’s brilliant with clients, her easygoing, open nature means she builds rapport quickly and easily in meetings and calls. ”

Joanna Jones, Account Director, Harvard

“Lucy is one of the most impressive creative people I've ever worked with. She's got an uncanny ability to see the bigger picture and translate it into tangible ideas that work across all formats - and a knack for design that hit the perfect spot to challenge clients in a way that is just out of their comfort zone enough to make them think, but close enough to help them see themselves in it. A rare skill, Lucy also understands the value of audience-centricity and working within clients' boundaries (whether they be budgets or egos!). That makes her an invaluable creative for Harvard and ETF. ”

Segolene Roche, Associate Director, Harvard
